Based on Stephen King's novel, It, this sequel brings together the Derry high school friends (the Losers Club) after twenty seven years of forming a blood oath to return to Derry if the supernatural horror creature, "Pennywise the Dancing Clown", ever re-appeared there. They all know it's time when they receive a devastating phone call about the murdering of Derry's children.
